CoE: AI in Healthcare

Research focus:

The Center of Excellence on AI in Healthcare is dedicated to transforming medical practices through cutting-edge research initiatives. Our ongoing projects in personalized medicine, digital twins, telemedicine, digital forensics, and automated diagnostics exemplify our commitment to innovation. Furthermore, our team is actively engaged in developing advanced systems for remote patient monitoring, disease surveillance, medical education, and AI-based drug discovery. Together, these efforts pave the way for a future where healthcare delivery is more precise, accessible, and efficient, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes and enhanced medical care.

Possible outcomes:

Enabling medical professionals to offer more precise diagnoses and tailored interventions, leading to better outcomes for patients.
Enabling healthcare providers to deliver timely consultations and interventions, breaking down barriers to access, and improving overall healthcare equity.
Enabling researchers to expedite the development of novel therapeutics and diagnostics, potentially leading to breakthroughs in the treatment and management of various diseases, ultimately benefiting global public health.

Overall, the proposed CoE will lead to the roll-out of AI modules such as non-invasive throat cancer diagnosis, differentiating between tuberculosis and Crohn's disease, acoustic-based in-patient monitoring, legion identification via super-resolved PET/CT images, and personalized medicine and therapy planning tools.
